This Shravan, a simple meal brought children together across government schools in and around Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. Here is the story of the people and moments behind it.
A thousand little moments.
More than a meal on a plate.
Shravan brings people together through tradition and small acts of care. K3 Learning and Development Foundation wanted to make room for one of those moments in government schools: a chance for children to sit with friends, enjoy a fresh meal and share the day.
Across the month, our team visited 22 schools and reached 23,000 students. The food mattered. So did the laughter, conversations and sense of togetherness that grew around each serving.
A good meal can be the beginning of a beautiful shared moment.

Different classrooms and school grounds; the same simple joy of sitting together and sharing food.

What looks effortless in a photograph takes many hands. Meals were prepared, packed, transported and served while fresh. Early starts, travel between schools and careful timing were all part of the day.
Volunteers and team members worked alongside the schools to keep each visit organised. Each small task helped make space for the moment that mattered: children enjoying a meal together.
